For Gate 90
Effective Date: October 7, 2026 · Last Updated: October 7, 2026
Gate 90 is published by an independent Apple platforms developer (referred to in this policy as "we", "our", or "us"). You can reach us by email at ev.kryzhanivskyi@gmail.com.
This Privacy Policy describes how the Gate 90 application for iPhone and iPad, together with its widgets (the "App"), handles information.
Short version: we do not collect personal data about you. Your trips and travel documents are stored on your device and, only if you turn on iCloud sync, in your own private iCloud database, which we cannot read. The App makes no network requests of its own, has no accounts, and contains no analytics or advertising.
Gate 90 calculates the Schengen 90/180 rule from the trips you enter, following the European Commission's ordinary short-stay method. ETIAS and EES entries are records you type in yourself; the App does not connect to any government system and does not verify them. Border authorities make the final decision.
We do not collect, store on our servers, sell, or share personal information from the App. In particular, we do not collect:
Because we do not collect personal data through the App, we do not maintain a user database.
The App stores the following in a database inside its own container on your device:
None of this is sent to us.
iCloud sync is an optional Pro feature and is off unless you turn it on. When it is on, your library is sent to a private zone in the private database of your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, so it can appear on your other iPhone and iPad signed in to the same Apple Account. Apple may send silent push notifications to the App so it knows when data changed on another device.
Data in your private iCloud database belongs to your Apple Account. We, as the developer, cannot access, read, or export it. Each iCloud account gets its own separate library, so data is never uploaded to a different Apple Account automatically. When you delete a record with sync on, the deletion is sent to iCloud; a minimal deletion marker with no content remains so an older offline device cannot restore the deleted record.
The App does not make network requests of its own. The calculator, trips and documents work fully offline. Network traffic is handled only by Apple: App Store purchases through StoreKit and, if you turn it on, iCloud sync through CloudKit. Links to the European Commission, the official ETIAS site, Apple's terms and subscription management open in your browser only when you tap them.
Pro is sold and managed by Apple through the App Store. Apple is the merchant of record. We do not see your payment details, Apple Account, billing address, or full name. The App uses verified StoreKit transactions only to determine whether Pro is active. Apple's own privacy policy applies to App Store purchases, subscription management, iCloud and CloudKit, notifications, widgets, and other system services.
The App does not include any third-party code. There are no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, attribution, or tracking SDKs.
The App is a general-purpose travel utility. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). A parent may add a child as a traveller to track their days; that data stays on the parent's device and private iCloud like all other App data. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar laws. Because we do not collect or hold personal data from the App, we have no personal data to provide, correct, delete, or transfer in response to such a request. You still control the App's data:
California residents: we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
The App relies on security features built into iOS and iPadOS, including app sandboxing, data protection for files on your device, an App Group container shared only with the App's own widgets, Apple's protection of iCloud data, and Apple's StoreKit transaction verification. Storing only the last four passport characters limits what any copy of your data could reveal. No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
The App may be available through the Apple App Store in multiple countries. Because your data is stored on your device and, optionally, in your own iCloud account, and we do not collect personal data through the App, we do not transfer your App data across borders on our side.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new App functionality or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. The basic commitment that the App does not collect your personal data will not change without clear notice.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the way the App handles data, please write to ev.kryzhanivskyi@gmail.com.
